Therapy can sometimes feel like a luxury and something others need more than you, sometimes it feels easier to just keep going and hope these feelings will pass.

It often feels easier to continue looking after others, without finding time to focus on what you need. Giving yourself time to talk through your experiences with someone who is there, just for you is an important way to take care of yourself.

  • Feel supported while you experience difficult feelings, so you can begin to find a way to move forward

  • Increase your self-esteem and confidence so that you feel more able to ask for what you need

  • Feel heard during a time in your life when you might feel alone and isolated

  • Find a place to talk freely without judgment

  • Create more balance in your life so you feel more in control and able to cope with life's challenges

  • Rediscover your identity so that you can live a life you feel excited about

  • Find ways to manage and improve areas such as sleep, stress levels, life balance, worry

  • Reignite the creative parts of yourself so that you can express yourself more freely

It is important to note that counselling and psychotherapy are generally recognised as beneficial but sometimes this isn't always the case.

Choosing a counsellor or psychotherapist can be a big decision and it is important to feel that the person you choose is right for you.
